Part of a series of videos exposing the funny stupidity of creationists and why they deserve to be laughed at. In each case the creationist statements are shown to be outrageously stupid by even the most rudimentary knowledge of science.
In this episode Ben Stein is again taken to task over his mindless spin doctoring (not dissimilar to his ‘universities are fortresses of nonsense’ line), his inability to distinguish science from free speech, his inability to distinguish science from fantasy, and his ignorance of why supernatural is intrinsically not a part of science.
But most of all because Stein seems blissfully unaware that Darwin has his place in history because he was the first to propose the Theory of Evolution. Stein seems to think that all fields are science were started by Darwin and are subject to ‘Darwinism’, abiogenesis, thermodynamics, physics, astronomy, the big bang, ‘inorganic matter becoming organic life’ (chemistry?) and so on.
Put simply this man made a do entary on evolution, without actually knowing what evolution is. Oh yes, that does mean that stein more than qualifies for another episode of ‘Why do people laugh at creationists?’

If you’re going to argue that we didn’t come from/aren’t apes, you should probably figure out what the word ape means first.

The other primates …
The other primates around today are NOT our ancestors. We descended from a common primate ancestor. But you would know that if you knew ANYTHING about evolution. So either go do some research and come back when you know what you’re talking about, or continue to make an of yourself. Even some of the creationists on here would probably agree that you have no idea what you’re talking about, and probably would like you to shutup & stop making their side look even worse than it already is.

We descended from a common ancestor with all Hominids, Primates, Mammals, Chordates, and Animals.
You are a hominid, primate, mammal, chordate, animal, as were your parents, you are inevitably descended from them whether you believe in Evolutionary theory or not.

Man, I remember …
Man, I remember watching “Win Ben Steins Money” and thinking this man was brilliant. Of course, I always wondered if he was fed the answers before the show… Now I am sure he was. Ben Stein is easily one of the dumber creationists out there. I think even Kent Hovind could put up a better line of BS than Stein.

It’s like thunderf00t climbed inside my head and pulled all my ideas and outrages out and put them into a set of videos about Evolution/Creationism where the scientific method and facts are taken into account. Usually all I get are “You’re wrong”, “No YOU’RE wrong!”. Instead, here I get “You’re wrong, and here are 5-6 reasons why which comprehensibly and without dispute disprove your claims to your interpretation of reality.” I may have to file a copyright suit against you for my ideas!!! : P

Right. And when you think about the millions of fossils we have, and extrapolate to the very small percentage of megafauna that become fossilized, you come up with a pretty big number.
Of course, all of our coal and oil reserves are evidence of the enormous expansion of life onto land in the 60 million year-long Carboniferous Era.
But the Behe-ists say “god put the coal there during The Flood,” as if god wanted us to poison our air with CO2 and get into global conflict over oil.

Now you discuss that Thunderf00t is misrepresenting Stein as dishonest, but that was not your original argument, you have changed topics.
But, represent a specific article in which Thunderf00t is being deceitful, one thing, and present it.

I felt I needed to reiterate myself because you did not seem to understand. Now that I’ve done so and completely proved you and this video’s author wrong, you say that I need to move on to a new topic. There is obviously no proof for “intellectual dishonesty” within and you only stick to that because you refuse to admit when you’re wrong. It’s sad to see your refusal to admit the obvious error. At least attempt to back up your stance!
