I would like to point out the word nationality. This definition (but not limited to this definition) makes Japanese a race. Racism is basically hatred towards a race. I perfectly understand what you are saying, but you know anyone who was reading and saw the context of the discussion would know that i only use it as an abreviation. A lot of words can be offensive, but a significant part of the time, its the offended ones fault, rather than the offend(er-ant?).
